When it comes to printing, there are certain questions you should ask your supplier in order to prevent costly errors and get the most of your budget!

1. Shopping Around

When shopping around for the best deal, provide a selection of printers with the exact same written brief & this will help you compare prices on a like for like basis.
2. Run Ons
Remember to ask about run on costs and break points. This could give you a lot more product for your money. A second print run may cost a lot more than extended first runs (or "run on" as printers call it) For example; If you are asking a printer for a quote of 10,000 copies, be sure to ask for a price per 1,000 there on.
This will help to confirm how many copies your budget allows for.
3. Good Advice
A helpful printer will often try to save you time, trouble and money! You have the idea of what you want to achieve, so tell them! Be prepared to listen to suggestions and take advice. The best options may differ from your own ideas. (So don't go scrapping those bits of paper with your marketing ideas on, or you could be missing a trick.) A good print supplier will know how to add impact and achieve the best from your concept.
4. Clear and Simple
If there is anything that you don't understand. Ask! Don't be baffled by 'jargon'.
Get your supplier to explain things in a manor that you understand. It is much better for both parties if you can sort out any issues now, rather than when it is often to late
remember, when you place your order, make sure to receive an order acknowledgement. Check that all the details are clear, and exactly what you have asked for.
